Sylvia Plath是美国的一位自白派女诗人。她8岁丧父，当母亲告诉她父亲的死讯时，她冷冷地说了句：“我不再与上帝通话了。”在英国留学期间，她遇见特德休斯并立刻闪婚，却后来因感情分裂的离婚变得抑郁，崩溃，绝望......1963年2.11日，她躲在阴冷的小屋中，自缢于伦敦的寓所，这并非她第一次尝试自缢。她享年31岁，留下了两位孤儿。
