【钻石与铁锈】75年bob dylan举行全美巡回演唱会，故意也很自然的邀请joan baze,期间假装不经意的问这首歌是写给谁的，joan baze直接回答“写给我前夫的，你以为呢”搞的dylan很尴尬（活该），不过从歌词可以看出都是在写与dylan的爱情。
鲍勃经历了艰难的戒毒，和琼分离了十年。1975年，鲍勃打了一个电话给琼，那夜琼写了这首Diamond & Rust。
分手许多年后，在一场琼•贝兹的演唱会上，唱到第三首歌的时候，琼用略带颤抖的声音说了句：“I'll be damned look what the wind brought in!”（真见鬼，什么风把你吹来了？） 随后，鲍勃一头乱发在台上出现，抱着个吉他，坐在贝兹身边。歌迷们沸腾了，高声欢呼，两人合唱了一首《Blowing in the wind》 。唱完后鲍勃•迪伦匆匆走掉，贝兹眼泪汪汪地接着唱她自己写的歌《Diamonds and Rust》
