Senmuth is a self-taught musician. Senmuth believes that his target audience is defined as "an educated, socially active and intellectual development of young and mature individuals who know how to conduct self-identity and criticism surrounding reality, capable of resisting the imposed priorities and the impact of the media." Senmuth took his "stage name" from Senemut, an Egyptian 18th dynasty architect and government official who is speculated to have been the lover of the female Pharaoh Hatshepsut. When questioned about his productivity habits, Senmuth has said "I can not work on long projects, because it loses my interest... so most of the better projects get done quickly, even spontaneously -- unexpectedly!" Senmuth often collaborates with other Russian musicians.
