Airy instrumentation supports Izzo's use of multiple guitars over the course of a single recording, creating a diverse sound that seems the work of a far greater number of players than those who actually appear on the album. Izzo's first recording of the new millennium was Nostalgia Trails, which provided a good reflection of his work from the 1990s.
