Formed in the summer of 2003 by Michael Armine (vocals/samples/electronics), J. Matthew W**d (guitar, violin), David Grossman (bass), and Bruce McMurtrie, Jr. (drums), the group hooked up with Translation Loss Records a year later, and duly delivered their ambitious debut album, Galilean Satellites, in 2005.
