Mazgani is a Portuguese singer-songwriter, who formed a band in Setúbal in the summer of 2004. Shahryar Mazgani's family left Iran after Iranian Revolution. Alain Anastácio and João Fernandez were in the original line-up of the band. Rui Luís and Sérgio Mendes joined later.In 2005, Mazgani was considered by the french magazine "Les Inrockuptibles" as one of the best 20 new European artists .
