马丁在2002年参加了瑞典的选秀节目Popstars，虽然在比赛中遭到淘汰但后来经由介绍认识了Alexander Bard,成了Bard的新project --- BWO的主唱。而Marina Schiptjenko和Bard在之前就同为另一个团体Vacuum的团员。
