A Root 同根生笙、中阮、柳琴、钢琴、低音提琴及世界打击乐组成的融合乐团。串联中西民族器乐，穿梭于自由即兴、爵士音乐语彙之间。刻划出北管、泰雅、客家等台湾音乐素材的当代光景。那些来自生活的灵光，于潜意识中生了根，造就我们的样子。宜兰音乐人组成，擅以环境与空间为创作灵感，透过音乐叙事。带著各自不同的艺术背景与生命经验，在家乡的土地上再次相聚，以此为根基，启程。A Root is a world fusion ensemble that brings together the Sheng, Ruan, Liuqin, Piano, Double Bass, and World Percussions since 2016. Incorporating with Taiwanese and Western instrumental music, the ensemble creates soundscapes crossing musical cultures and geographical borders. It combines jazz, indie, and urban folk into a unique expression of world music in between modern and traditional. Transforming the spirit from traditional music and sharing the taste of Taiwan that roots in our subconscious, making us who we are today. A Root is composed of professional musicians from Taiwan who are proficient in creative musical storytelling inspired by environment and space. With different artistic backgrounds and life experiences, the five music artists reunite in their hometown, Yilan, as a point of departure to experiment and create a new spectrum of music.
