Music is life.Every waking moment of our lives could easily be redrawn into a melody, a bass line, a drum beat, and could even be personified through the beauty of a human voice. Without rhythm and cadence, life would not only be chaotic, it would lack meaning. Whether it is through the poetic art of hip hop, the upbeat nature of modern-day pop, or the soothing yet heavy sound of rock, music is a way for us to channel our minds into the form of notes and lyrics. It presents us with an opportunity to express ourselves in any way we want; there are no limits on where our imaginations can take us. We can choose who we want to be through the music we decide to incorporate into our daily lives. We create a network of relationships through the music we choose to listen to, and this choice varies from person to person depending on their experiences in life.My life has led me to travel one distinct path. And that path is hip hop.
