Purest of Pain arose in March 2008. The band was founded by Merel Bechtold (lead-rhythm guitar). A close friendship was quickly made and is the heart of this band. Purest of Pain makes a unique combination between melodic death metal, thrash metal and deathcore. In the middle of Hilversum we started to unleash our music into the world. The vocals, blastbeats and breakdowns give a whole new dimension to the world of melodic death/thrash metal; extreme as metal should be, yet beautifully melodic. Technical drum fills and melodic guitar riffs will get you stay tuned during our shows. In 2010 we've entered the studio to begin working on our demo called "Unleash The Beast", which is online since August. We have also merch in stock. So please feel free to buy some during our shows.
