A native of Madison, WI, Alicia Lemke is a young energetic singer/songwriter based out of NYC. Her extraordinary drive and passion have earned her a scholarship at Berklee College of Music, a growing international fan base, and a sponsorship from Gibson Guitars. Alicia writes her own brand of Adult Contemporary Pop and is releasing her new EP "Imaginary" this July. Alicia was not always a songwriter, but certainly has taken to her calling in the two short years she’s been pursuing it. A graduate of Swarthmore College, she earned a degree in Biology and Theater, played the saxophone, and acquired a US patent before she discovered her love and talent for writing songs. Defined by poetic lyrics, finger-style guitar and a graceful, strong voice, Alicia’s music ranges from heartbreaking to playful, and intimately expresses her own personal struggles and triumphs. She has assembled a band that plays her original music across the Northeast, with recent shows taking her as far as London, Los Angeles, and Miami. Alicia’s energy is infectious. Her self-awareness and down-to-earth attitude make her a powerful and positive force on stage. Through her songwriting, Alicia seeks to connect with others through an accessible and honest sound.
