Nate Harasim

Even as a young child, Nate Harasim had dreams of playing in front of the masses. With that dream in mind, he transferred to the Flint Institute of Music. After receiving several scholarships and awards, Nate joined the Jazz band, then under the instruction of Denis Langworthy. He entered a new realm and took in everything he could. At sixteen Nate chose the best players from the Jazz band and formed the group, “MoJazz”. They played straight ahead jazz and went on to open and play with Norman Brown, Pamela Williams, Roy Ayers, Tom Braxton as well as many others. After high school, Nate decided to join the Navy. Initially he jumped out of helicopters as a rescue swimmer but still had a huge drive to succeed in the music industry. While enlisted, he auditioned for the Naval School of Music, and was accepted. Excited and ready to further his knowledge of music, Nate packed his bags and began his higher education in San Diego, where he was to be stationed. After his enlistment in the Navy, Nate, still driven to compose and write music, decided to seek out an endorsement deal with Yamaha and start producing his own music. Within a year and a half his first album entitled, “Next in Line” was completed. “Next In Line” was arranged, written, produced and engineered by Nate.Soon after the birth of his first release Nate got the attention he had been working so hard for, from famed music executive David Chackler. Chackler heard the record and offered Nate his first deal. NuGroove Records signed Nate on June 1st 2007 and he began work on his sophomore release Love’s Taken Over. In a little over 90 days Love’s Taken Over was born and includes amazing artists Darren Rahn , Jay Soto , Mel Brown , Frank Selman, and De’Nate’ vocalist Deborah Connors.
