The band's early EPs in the 1990s were a dark, metallic style of hardcore punk. On their first full-length they added a significant amount of melodic death metal to their sound, and by 2005's "Undoing Ruin" the metalcore sound had largely evolved into melodic death metal. In 2011, they moved back into metalcore territory a bit while still being primarily melodic death metal.
