Their 1987 self-titled debut featured a raw Black/Thrash sound, similar to Vulcano, and Sarcofago. Their 1991 release was Attomica's Magnus opus, pushing to boundaries of speed even further, as well as being one of the fastest thrash metal albums of all time. It featured a groundbreaking Death/Thrash sound that could easily compete with bands such as Sepultura, Sadus, Kreator, Ripping Corpse, and Dark Angel, and arguably it is more extreme than any of the bands mentioned. The release had such an impact on the music scene that it alone convinced Kreator to hand-pick the band to support their tour in Brazil in the early 90's. Sadly, just as the band achieved some recognition, the split-up, only to re-form in the 2000's. Known as Attomica (with two 'T's) on the first 3 albums. Then around 2004, altered the name to Atomica (with one 'T'). In 2009, they decided to changed it back to Attomica. According to the band, "It was a mistake done by the previous manager, who was influenced by numerology".
