MARIKA (born 14.12.1980) is a Lady MC, vocalist, songwriter whose career isdeveloped at the same time in different music styles: from reggae &dancehall to nu-jazz and funk. She acted in The Music Theatre of Gdansk ina hip-hop theatrical project called '12 benches'. Moreover she hasperformed as a supporting artist for such stars as: Macy Gray, Gentleman,Panjabi Hit Squad, performed also at the Top Trends 2006 Festival TRENDS2006 in Sopot. MARIKA‘s mother formation is Bass Medium Sound System. Inbetween 2002-2005 the squad was called BASS MEDIUM TRINITY and wasrepresented by 3 members: MARIKA, Frenchman and Abselektor. Album 'Mowisz iMasz' , including 13 tunes focused on traditional jamican riddims was theresult of BMT's activity. It's become a very hot stuff and has been soldout in a double issue. BM has been touring Poland and Europe, performingalongside stars such as: Gentelman, David Rodigan, Luciano, WWO, Abradab,Gutek, Mad Crew and top Polish sound systems.
