Ann Ruckert, a good friend and client, has received a 2010 American Eagle Award from the National Music Council. She was honored along with musicians Kenny Rogers and Suzanne Vega. Film critic Rex Reed, a close friend of Ann's, presented the award.The award is a prestigious one, whose winners include Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Benny Goodman, Lena Horne, Stephen Sondheim and Quincy Jones.Ann was honored “as a beloved mentor of thousands of New York songwriters and singers.” She has produced, played and sung on over 3,000 commercially released recordings. Quite a career!
