应该没有⽐华兹华斯（William Wordsworth，1770-1850）更浪漫的英国诗⼈了，他擅长写⼤⾃然、农村⽣活，身体⼒⾏远离城市，被称为“湖畔派”诗⼈，是⽂艺复兴运动以来最重要的英语诗⼈之⼀。他曾留下那句人生宣言：“朴素⽣活，⾼尚思考”（plain living and high thinking）”。⼀⽇，华兹华斯从法国归来，⼼⾥充满了对法式⾃由的失落，但见到⼀⼤⽚湖中⽔仙，他忧郁孤独的心绪得到化解，⽓氛也顿时欢快了起来。植物与⾃然永远能给他平和与安慰，《The Daffodils》（中文译：咏水仙）也是华兹华斯最著名的代表作之⼀。
